Trade Compliance Environment II - IIEI-215
Course Description: This three-week overview course is a continuation of the examination of the trade compliance environment begun in IIEI-214. It is intended for new, entry-level personnel who need or want to gain a basic level of understanding of specific ITAR topics in the US trade compliance environment, including Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLAs), Distribution Agreements (DAs), General Correspondence (GC) /Advisory Opinions (AOs) under the ITAR, and Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ). Students seeking an in-depth understanding of these topics should enroll in advanced (300-level) courses that deal with these topics.
Prerequisite: Trade Compliance Environment I (IIEI-214)

- Understand Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTCs) GCs and AO.
Commodity Jurisdiction
- Comprehend the purpose and procedures/process for CJs.
