- IIEI Certification Advisory Board
The IIEI Certification Advisory Board (formally the Certification Board of Governors) (CAB) is the non-profit sister organization of the International Import-Export Institute. Its purpose is to provide a safe haven for industry experts to freely and independent of for-profit pressures to make recommendations on various international trade standards used by the IIEI in its certification program. The CAB is comprised of volunteers dispersed globally who sit on the various committees. Each of these committees are comprised of experienced professionals from business and government who volunteer their time, talent and efforts to help IIEI determine the appropriate standards in the global trade community. Each were nominated by business or government counterparts and approved by the Board of Directors.
The IIEI Certification Advisory Board volunteer organization is comprised of four bodies:

- International Trade Standards Committee
- Professional Compliance Standards Committee
