Certified Exporter® (CE®)
This is an entry-level certification. It demonstrates to employers mastery of basic knowledge and skills required for a career in international trade.
Certified U.S. Import Professional® (CUSIP®) (Spring 2009)
A Certified U.S. Import Professional® has satisfactorily passed an examination that demonstrates a high degree of knowledge and proficiency of international trade principles, concepts and processes as they relate to importing foreign goods into the United States.
Certified International Trade Marketing Specialist® (CITMS®)
This certification shows employers that you possess the detailed knowledge and skills required to sell and market goods and services to meet customer’s needs in foreign markets.
Certified International Trade Documentation Specialist® (CITDS®)
This certification shows employers that you possess the experience, and the detailed knowledge and skills required to originate the normal documentation necessary for the shipment of goods and services to international customers.
Certified International Trade Logistics Specialist® (CITLS®)
This certification shows employers that you possess the detailed knowledge and skills required to move goods through the international supply chain to international customers.
Certified International Trade Finance Specialist® (CITFS®)
This certification shows employers that you possess the detailed knowledge and skills required to establish international financial relationships with international customers as related to payment for the shipment of goods and services.
Certified International Freight Forwarder® (CIFF®) (Early 2009)
Having successfully passed a rigorous education and examination process, a Certified International Freight Forwarder® has demonstrated mastery and proficiency of the knowledge and skills necessary to function as a freight forwarder in the dynamic and evolving world of global logistics.
Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer® (CUSECO®)
A Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer® has met, and continues to meet, the industry’s highest professional standards in their knowledge and expertise of the challenging regulatory environment of United States export compliance.
Certified U.S. Import Compliance Officer® (CUSICO®) (Summer 2009)
A Certified U.S. Import Compliance Officer® has met, and continues to meet the industry’s highest professional standards in their knowledge and expertise of the challenging regulatory environment of United States import compliance.
Certified International Trade Professional® (CITP®)
This certification shows employers that you are a well-rounded, seasoned professional, knowing in-depth each of the four specialty areas. In addition, you possess integrated knowledge and skills in all areas that enable you oversee sophisticated international relationships.
Certified ITAR Professional® (CIP®) (Fall 2009/Winter 2010)
A Certified ITAR Professional® has demonstrated mastery and proficiency of the requirements for this journeyman level industry certification by successfully passing the industry examination to gain this distinction as being ITAR certified.
Certified International Trade Manager® (CITM®)
This is the highest level of industry certification. It is for senior career professionals, or individuals seeking to attain senior-level management positions within their organization. This certification shows employers that you have the practical experience and have also developed the skills and knowledge of international trade to the managerial-level. You have shown that you are capable of managing the strategic development of international trade and in maintaining international relationships.
Certified International Trade Educator® (CITE®)
A Certified International Trade Educator® (CITE®) is a person who is certified as an instructor of the bodies of knowledge related to international trade. This person has experience in international trade, having served in an international trade capacity, and or has experience teaching in a college, university, or corporate setting.
